The event, which took place at 9:00 am, brought together experts and enthusiasts in artificial intelligence to explore two cutting-edge topics in the field.<\/p>\n<h2>Featured Presentations<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"mb-2 mt-6 text-lg first:mt-3\">Explainability in Deep Learning Models Applied to Spatio-Temporal Problems<\/h3>\n<p>Javier Garc\u00eda Siguenza, researcher at the Universitat de Alacant, presented a talk on the crucial importance of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) in today&#8217;s society. Garc\u00eda Siguenza highlighted how AI is transforming various sectors, from industry to decision-making, which has increased concerns about its transparency<span class=\"whitespace-nowrap\">. <\/span>The researcher emphasized that XAI is fundamental to obtaining a better understanding of the behavior of AI systems, which can help in both ethical and technical aspects. Alabau explained that, although deep architectures are leaders in predicting the subjective quality of images, current evaluation methods ignore affine transformations such as rotation, translation, scaling, and changes in illumination. The researcher revealed that her study found that current metrics do not replicate human invariance to these transformations.
