At ValgrAI, we are excited to continue offering a dynamic space for dialogue and discovery of the latest innovations in the field of Artificial Intelligence. This \u2018back to school\u2019 event, as it is the first after the summer break, brings us closer to some of the projects currently being developed in our ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>In this edition of <strong>\u2018Research Morning Meeting\u2019,<\/strong> we have two presentations by researchers who are part of innovative projects and initiatives in fields such as<strong> Scheduling 4.0<\/strong> and Artificial Intelligence for the <strong>socio-economic revitalisation<\/strong> of small and medium-sized municipalities in Valencia. Scheduling 4.0: Energy, Learning and Transparency<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1325\" data-end=\"1806\"><strong data-start=\"1325\" data-end=\"1337\">Speaker:<\/strong> Christian P\u00e9rez Bernal<br data-start=\"1395\" data-end=\"1398\" \/><strong data-start=\"1398\" data-end=\"1415\">Talk Summary:<\/strong><br data-start=\"1415\" data-end=\"1418\" \/>Industry 4.0 demands advanced scheduling solutions that not only optimise production performance, but also reduce energy consumption and generate user confidence. To achieve this, it is essential to design heuristics and metaheuristics aimed at multi-objective optimisation, integrating learning mechanisms based on historical data that allow the selection of operators and parameters to be dynamically adjusted, with the aim of minimising both energy consumption and makespan. Revital-IA: Artificial Intelligence for the socio-economic revitalisation of small and medium-sized municipalities in Valencia<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1886\" data-end=\"2327\"><strong data-start=\"1886\" data-end=\"1898\">Speakers:<\/strong> Vicent Santamarta, Cris Milego and Pablo Exp\u00f3sito<br data-start=\"1939\" data-end=\"1942\" \/><strong data-start=\"1942\" data-end=\"1959\">Talk Summary:<\/strong><br data-start=\"1959\" data-end=\"1962\" \/>The main purpose of the Revital-IA project is to apply artificial intelligence techniques to public databases to promote the revitalisation of rural areas. Its approach focuses on optimising the use of available resources and promoting the development of digital talent in municipalities facing the risk of depopulation.
