Development of Software Tools for Genomic Information Management and Analysis
Biologists today have access to an increasing amount of genetic information but lack high-quality software tools to process that information productively. In this regard, the PROS research group at VRAIN from UPV, in collaboration with biologists, has created conceptual models that accurately capture genetic concepts. This service enables the development of bioinformatics applications, the integration of heterogeneous genomic database information, or pattern detection for genomic analysis. Its advantages include increased productivity in Human Genome research and reduced implementation costs of Information Systems in the field of Bioinformatics. This improves the quality of bioinformatics tools and reduces costs in Genome research. This service is aimed at medical professionals and clinicians, hospitals, geneticists, and laboratories.
