Intelligent Agents / Multi-Agent Systems, Agreement Technologies
We offer innovative solutions for smart cities using data. This field focuses on developing systems where multiple computational entities, known as agents, work together to solve a problem. Each agent has the autonomy to achieve its own goals and also has the skills to cooperate and coordinate with other agents to achieve a common goal. In this field, VRAIN at UPV specializes in areas such as: cognitive agents, which are capable of simulating aspects of human cognition; agreement technologies, which are techniques that enable coordination, collaboration, and negotiation among different agents; and ethical and responsible agents, which are equipped with the ability to represent and reason about the principles guiding complex decisions. The techniques in this area can be applied to domains such as distributed systems, robotics, or the simulation of complex systems.
