SPADE: Python Intelligent Agent Development Environment

It is an open multi-agent system platform written in Python and based on instant messaging (XMPP). It allows for the development of intelligent agents that can communicate both with other agents and with humans. The SPADE platform provides an infrastructure that did not exist in the most commonly used programming language for intelligent systems (Python). Additionally, it offers a modern, asynchronous programming interface that optimizes applications based on instant messaging.

Its target audience may include development companies that need a multi-agent system framework, or generic companies that want VRAIN from the UPV to build them an application based on multi-agent systems.
