

PLANTILLO: Plant Disease Detection Device
It is a low-cost smart device designed to identify plant diseases using a Raspberry Pi Zero and an integrated camera. Equipped with a deep learning model, the device classifies and displays information through an LCD screen. Its versatility allows easy installation on drones, robots, and agricultural equipment, providing an efficient way to visualize disease hotspots. The goal is to optimize costs by preventing the unnecessary application of chemicals. Preliminary results highlight the feasibility of EDGE systems for the classification and detection of plant diseases without the need for an Internet connection. This reduces costs associated with the transmission and analysis of images and allows farmers to conduct a preliminary analysis of potential diseases.
