Pre-doctoral and post-doctoral positions in AI project (Computer Vision & Deep Learning)

The Visual Engineering (eVis) research group at the Institute of New Image Technologies (INIT) at the University of Jaume I (UJI) is looking to hire two people: one with a pre-doctoral profile and another with a post-doctoral profile. The contracts are for three years, in the context of a project funded by the Spanish State Agency for Research in the Field of Artificial Intelligence.

Main duties

• Design, development and experimental validation of new algorithms and methodologies in learning techniques related to the project’s objectives.
• For the pre-doctoral position: to guide contributions towards your doctoral thesis.
• Publication of results in conferences and scientific journals.
• Participation in other activities and tasks associated with the project.

Requirements

• For the pre-doctoral position: bachelor’s and master’s degree or equivalent (MECES 3).
• For postdoctoral position: PhD (MECES 4).
• In both cases: bachelor’s/master’s/PhD in areas and subjects related to the project (preferably Computer Vision and/or Machine/Deep Learning, but also Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Computational Mathematics, Mathematics, Physics, etc.).

Preferred merits

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
• Knowledge and experience in Deep Learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
• Previous experience in computer vision and machine and deep learning.
• Experience in research and publications in prestigious forums related to the project topics.
