Title: ALIA: public infrastructure for artificial intelligence in Spanish and co-official languages
ALIA is an innovative project within the European Union that aims to provide public infrastructure with artificial intelligence resources, including open and transparent language models. Its purpose is to strengthen the presence of Spanish and co-official languages — Catalan and Valencian, Basque and Galician — in the global development and application of AI. It also points to make it easier for European companies to adopt these resources in line with European regulations on artificial intelligence.

Title: Cognitive Digital Twins for sustainable mobility
The future of urban mobility requires systems capable not only of simulating infrastructure, but also of understanding and anticipating human behaviour. This presentation introduces Cognitive Digital Twins, a new generation of urban models that combine multi-agent simulation and reasoning using generative Artificial Intelligence. These twins integrate cognitive agents based on language models (LLMs), equipped with memory, identity, and the capacity for reflection, which learn and adapt their mobility decisions. By incorporating plausible human behavior into simulated cities, cognitive twins enable the assessment of the sustainability and resilience of urban transport, providing a basis for designing smarter and more sustainable cities.
