Valencia, December 5, 2024 – The ValgrAI Foundation (Valencian Graduate School and Research Network of Artificial Intelligence) and the Valencian Association of Extended Reality (AVRE) have signed a Framework Agreement for collaboration aimed at uniting efforts in the development of joint initiatives in the fields of artificial intelligence and extended reality. This agreement represents a key step in strengthening technological innovation and promoting knowledge transfer in the Valencian Community.

Javier Campos, president of AVRE, stated, “This agreement not only reinforces our commitment to extended reality as a transformation engine but also allows us to integrate artificial intelligence into our initiatives, expanding opportunities for our members and for the entire Valencian society.”

Ana Cidad Vila, managing director of ValgrAI, highlighted: “Our mission is to promote research and training in artificial intelligence, and this alliance with AVRE is a clear example of how interdisciplinary collaboration can create value. We are delighted to have started on the right foot, actively participating in VRDay, an event that showcases the transformative capacity of these technologies.”

First Steps Toward a Shared Future

The collaboration between ValgrAI and AVRE has already begun to take shape. During the recent VRDay event organized by AVRE, experts from ValgrAI participated as speakers, sharing their knowledge about the convergence between artificial intelligence and extended reality. This first step demonstrates the transformative potential of the union between these two institutions.

Additionally, both entities have agreed to promote activities that include specialized courses, training programs, dissemination days, joint research, and publications, with the goal of consolidating the Valencian Community as a reference technological hub.

Among the highlights of the agreement, ValgrAI will offer AVRE members exclusive benefits in their artificial intelligence training programs. This commitment reflects the willingness of both organizations to promote continuous training and technological specialization as pillars of professional development.

Ana Cidad Vila emphasized the importance of this measure: “Training is essential to maintain competitiveness in such a dynamic sector. We want professionals associated with AVRE to have access to tools and knowledge that enable them to lead digital transformation.”

Another fundamental axis of this alliance is the inclusion of AVRE and its members in the Artificial Intelligence Innovation Alliance (AIIA), an initiative led by ValgrAI that brings together researchers, professionals, and companies to foster cooperation and knowledge exchange around artificial intelligence. This network seeks to articulate synergies between strategic sectors, generating opportunities that drive innovation in the Valencian Community.

Javier Campos highlighted the importance of this inclusion: “Being part of the AIIA means connecting our members with an ecosystem of innovation in constant evolution. Additionally, this access to resources and collaborations strategically positions us to lead ambitious projects in the fields of extended reality and artificial intelligence.”

Thanks to this collaboration, the ValgrAI Foundation and AVRE consolidate their position as references in innovation and digital transformation, driving economic, social, and technological growth in the Valencian Community. This project, open to the participation of institutions, companies, and professionals, aspires to make the region an international reference point in the development of emerging technologies.
