This May 3rd, the VIII ValgrAI Morning Research Meeting was celebrated, an event that virtually gathered professionals, academics, and enthusiasts from the world of artificial intelligence. At ValgrAI, we are thrilled to have facilitated a space for discussion and knowledge exchange on the latest innovations and practical applications of AI, reinforcing our commitment to technological advancement and cutting-edge research.

Highlighted presentations from the VIII ValgrAI Morning Research Meeting:

Artificial Intelligence Methods applied to the development of active video games
Speaker: Carlos Marín Lora

Carlos Marín addressed how artificial intelligence can revitalize the design of active video games, which combine physical exercise with interactive entertainment. This research focuses on overcoming monotony and enriching user interaction through behavioral models for characters, intelligent agent systems, automatic level generation, and motion pattern recognition, aiming to improve the physical and mental health of users.

Inspection, maintenance, and repair of underwater structures
Speaker: Salvador López Barajas

Salvador explored the development of an advanced robotic platform intended for underwater operations, crucial for industries such as aquaculture, construction, port, mining, and oil. The platform includes a surface robot, a control station, a robust communication system, and an underwater robot equipped with artificial intelligence capable of executing autonomous tasks under water.

Looking to the future, we are pleased to announce that the next edition of the ValgrAI Morning Research Meeting will take place on June 7th. We invite all those interested in the frontiers of artificial intelligence to join us for this event.
