Human-machine speech communication systems
From a theoretical point of view, the work of the Shape Recognition and Artificial Intelligence Group has focused on the development of algorithms for inferring certain types of formal grammars from examples for machine learning of structural models. One of our areas of research focuses on the research of human-machine oral communication systems. Specifically, we are working on the development of speech recognition and comprehension and spoken dialogue systems, multimedia and multimodal systems for access to information (voice, text, images) and on personalisation and adaptation to the user, context and task.
Applications:
• Integration of oral interaction systems into devices.
• Improved business performance and results
Technical advantages:
• Facilitate accessibility to information services using computer systems.
• Use of mobile devices to access different information or control services.
Benefits:
• Expand the accessibility of services that a company may provide and that require interaction with users.
Relevant Experience:
• The group has more than 15 years of experience in research in speech technologies.
