The two entities will work together in the development of educational programs, the promotion of employability, and the diffusion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in society.

ValgrAI, a foundation supported by the Generalitat Valenciana y la Conselleria d’Innovació, Universitats, Ciència i Societat Digital, and Microsoft have today signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of promoting the comprehensive training of students in Artificial Intelligence (AI), based on advances in technology. The agreement reflects the common interest of both parties to develop and support postgraduate teaching, research, and studies in AI and related disciplines.

Within the framework of this agreement, both parties will work in various areas of collaboration, which include the development of training offers around Microsoft Artificial Intelligence integrating technologies, in coordination with the digital, IT, and communications industries. In addition, educational, dissemination, and collaboration activities will be carried out to promote knowledge, employability, and the adoption of Artificial Intelligence with the aim of strengthening the position of the Valencian Community as a benchmark in the technological field, promoting innovation and development. in the field of AI, and preparing students for the job market of the future.

One of the initiatives highlighted in this agreement is the collaboration in the Student 4.0 initiative promoted by Microsoft, with the aim of promoting the employability of students in ValgrAI programs, providing them with opportunities to acquire relevant skills in the field of AI, and preparing them for the labor market.

During the signing of the agreement, both organizations have highlighted the importance of this collaboration to promote training in AI.

“Artificial Intelligence is a catalyst for economic growth and for improving the competitiveness of organizations, but the lack of specialized talent in this field represents a major challenge for Spanish companies and public entities. In this sense, collaboration with leading educational entities such as ValgrAI is essential to launch initiatives that help train the professionals that companies demand to accelerate their digital transformation”, said Manuel Abellán, Director of Higher and University Education at Microsoft Spain. 

The lack of specialized talent in AI represents a major challenge for Spanish companies and public entities.

“ValgrAI’s mission is to promote dissemination and research in Artificial Intelligence and its applications. We are convinced that the collaboration with Microsoft will allow us to offer our students more complete training that includes the technologies most in demand by companies, as well as disseminate the benefits of AI among society in a more accessible way for everyone. We hope that this agreement will be the beginning of a fruitful relationship between both entities”, Ana Cidad, Managing Director of ValgrAI, pointed out.

Microsoft technology will begin to be implemented imminently in ValgrAI courses. This implementation will take place coinciding with the start of two new courses: one focused on content generation through Artificial Intelligence and another aimed at ICT professionals. In this way, students will have access to the latest Artificial Intelligence technologies. This initiative is part of ValgrAI’s commitment to offer quality training that allows students to acquire the skills and competencies necessary for the job market of the future. With this implementation, ValgrAI hopes to continue consolidating its position as a benchmark in the academic and scientific field of AI in the Valencian Community.
